In April we lost a total of 120 appointments through patients not arriving. That averages out to more than 7 days without a Doctor.

New Drop In Community Phlebotomy Service

At the Pharmacy in Sainsbury's (Coldhams Lane, Cambridge, CB1 3HP)

Opening Times: Monday - Friday 07:30-10:30 and 16:30-19:30 Closed Weekends & Bank Holidays

How it works:

1) Bring the blood test request form provided by your GP to the drop in session.

2) A CUH trained phlebotomist takes your blood sample.

3) Results returned to your registered GP practice.

Criteria:

You must be over 16.

Request form must be provided by GP practice

Request form must contain your NHS number 


How your Local Pharmacist Can Help

• Ask your pharmacist for advice about choosing the right medicines for common ailments
• Your pharmacist will advise you if you are unsure about seeing a doctor
• He/She can offer advice about a problem if you are not sure what is causing it
• Ask for advice about staying healthy
• Be sure to tell your pharmacist if you are taking other medicines – some medicines are not compatible
