With less than a month to go now until the Tour De France comes to Cambridge, it will be important to note that getting around Cambridge on that day will be rather tricky due to the number of road closures & spectators expected to attend.
Due to the route of the Peloton, access to the surgery on Bateman Street will only be possible via foot. Hills Road will be closed from the top of Station Road down to the junction of Regent Street & Lensfield Road from 7am on the Monday.
The surgery will be open as usual but if you are planning on coming to the surgery, please make sure that you leave yourself plenty of time to get to us. Remember access will be via foot only & the likelihood will be that many of the city centre car parks will be full.
For more information on the road closures at the city council website: https://www.cambridge.gov.uk/le-tour-cambridge-route
The road closures will remain in place until 3pm when a phased re-opening will begin, with the last roads in the heart of Cambridge expected to open by 6pm.
We would encourage all patients to make sure that they have enough medication for the 7th & put any repeat prescription in early, in case you have problems getting to the surgery on the day.
