Woodlands PPG Report 2014-15

Each year we produce a survey & a report with our patient participation group about the service here at Woodlands.

Attached below is the report for the year 2014-15

If you would be interested in joining the PPG to help shape services then please contact the surgery for more information. We would like to get as many patients joining as possible to help shape the future of the surgery here at Woodlands.

Woodlands Surgery Friends & Family Test

We want you to have the best possible experience of care. So as from the 17th November we will be running the NHS Friends and Family Test as a way of gathering your feedback, so we can continually review our service. It is based on one simple question: –

“How likely are you to recommend Woodlands Surgery to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?”

Your feedback will help us learn more about what you think of your experience – what you like and what you think we could improve. Ultimately, you’re helping us to make changes that will ensure we can offer the best possible care.

To give us feedback we have two options:

1. At the surgery we have cards in the waiting rooms & on reception for you to complete. Then all you need to do is post them into our suggestion Apples.
Or
2. You can complete it online by clicking HERE
If you’d prefer to give your comments anonymously, then please do so. If you do leave your contact details then we might get in touch, to talk to you about your feedback so we can better understand your views.

This will be ongoing & we would like as much feedback as possible. So please feel free to let us know what you think of Woodlands after each visit.

Mindfulness Sessions at Woodlands

Most of us don’t realise that our daily lives are dominated by distraction and mind chatter. And that distraction and mind chatter winds up being the force that drives us much of the day in terms of what we do, what we react to, and how we feel.

Mindfulness teaches us simple practices to move beyond this, bringing calmness, focus, clarity and inspiration.
We are holding a free mindfulness taster session open to all on 21st May from 13:00 – 14:00. This will be with the mindfulness instructor Sam who will explain what mindfulness is, how it works & the benefits it could bring to your health & wellbeing.

For more information, download the Mindfulness Leaflet or pick one up in reception.
We hope to see as many people as possible at the free taster session.

Yoga Sessions 11th & 18th April

Please be aware that there will be no lunchtime yoga session on Friday 11th & 18th April. Rosanna (the yoga teacher) works in line with school terms & so will be holding a class on these two dates.

We hope to see you all again though at the next session on 25th April at 13:15 – 14:00. £8 per class & all levels are welcome.

New Patient Evening Meeting – 20th February 2014 19:00 – 20:30

• Are you a new patient?

• Did you register with us after  October 2013?

If so we would like to invite you along to a new patient evening meeting.

The idea is to give you a bit more information about the surgery, as every GP Practice is different. Each one will have a different type of appointment system or different opening hours. So we had a good hard think about the best way to tell our new patients how we work.

It will hopefully be a fun & informative meeting with staff members & a member of the Patient participation group on hand with a short presentation all about how to get the best out of the surgery.

Tea/Coffee & biscuits will be provided….hopefully even chocolate ones.

For more information please click

We hope to see you on the 20th.
